Welcome to the Dell Community @mralok

If you look at your Driver Support Page these WiFi cards have drivers for your laptop.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/latitude-12-5285-2-in-1-laptop/drivers

Intel 9260, 9560, 8265, 7265 and 3165 wireless cards.

Qualcomm QCA61x4A, QCA6174A-XR, and QCA9377 wireless cards.

I have had good success with the 7265 in other laptops so it might be a good choice.

Best regards,

Thanks for the details.

As you've experienced, 7265 could be more stable than 8265, and might be a good choice.

Was 8265 an upgrade from 7265? If so, am I going to miss out anything?

@mralok

The only difference in the 2 cards is the 8265 can use MU-MIMO.

Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) is a set of multiple-input and multiple-output technologies for wireless communication, in which a set of users or wireless terminals, each with one or more antennas, communicate with each other.

Rugged laptops quit often use this. "E6420 XFR"

The card would use 3 antennas instead of just 2.
