Try allowing it to charge to 100% so that the charge completes, wait two hours, then unplug it. When the charge level falls just below the maximum limit you set, such as 80% (so if it goes to 79%) then try plugging it in again. I think several Dell laptop models need to charge to 100% from time to time. Afterward, they will charge to the limit you specify.
