D600 Missing Driver.

Hi, I have an old DELL Latitude D600 with a dual boot of Windows 98 se and Windows 2000.  Under Windows 98 the missing driver is listed as PCI network controller.  Also under Windows 2000 it seems to also missing a driver listed as PCI device.  I can't seem to find these drivers anywhere.

That is a tall order. An 11 year old system with 22 and 20 year old OS. There are some drivers on the support page for the D600 here and those are for Windows 2000. The 98 driver could be tougher as the support site only lists XP drivers and that OS came after 98 and 98SE. And a search on the Microsoft Update Catalogue does not show any drivers for 98, and they have drivers for almost everything.

Welcome to the Dell Community  @magicmanlee

Do you know what the Hardware ID/Device Instance is???

https://m.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

You may be able to use some of the drivers from something like the C600/C800 series.

Let us know the ID's and we can try and help you find the drivers.

Hi,

"Do you know what the Hardware ID/Device Instance is???"

I used a free program called Unknown Device Identifier v9.01.  I seem to be missing the following

PCI Device [UNKNOWN DEVICE]
Chip: Intel 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller
Detail
PnpID
VEN_8086&DEV_24C6&SUBSYS_542214F1&REV_01
Vendor

Device
PCI Device
