E7450 Touchscreen Problem (Bubbles)

I have a Dell E7450 touchscreen model. It has bubbles between lcd and touch.

I heared this is a manufacturing defect of the touchscreen assembly.

Unfortunately my warranty expired beggening of Jan (complete care, prosupport plus) so chat support won't assist me. Is there any way to solve this issue?

By the way ownership date in bios is different as manufacturing date. Warranty not starts from ownership date?

Thanks

Other than ordering a replacement part for the screen and replacing it yourself, I don't see any other option. **bleep** though.

This really should be a recall on Dell's behalf.

I personally have gone through 3 1080p Touchscreen Assemblies paying for each one of them out of pocket. They all have the same problem, delamination (separation) of the touchscreen causing bubbles. Ultimately if you leave it alone, a sticky liquid will pour out of the corners of the laptop lid and the backlight will have major light bleed issues.

Thanks for posting this pic. My first one looked just like your picture there. The original one that it came with.
I will grab a pic of those that I have replaced and post up soon.

There LCD's have been doing it for years and I have never seen a recall on any of them.

Best regards,

@rocktechnology Since you are an expert, having replaced screens (at least) three times, I would be interested in your photos as well as pointing to a "how to video" on how to replace the touchscreen on my E7450 with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Do you know if it's possible to replace a touchscreen LCD to with a non-touchscreen? Because I think the poor lamination is the problem and I never use the touchscreen in any case.

I wonderer where the sticky substance was coming from, thinking that I must have picked up something sticky somewhere. It's bleeding from the touchscreen!
