ISH Firmware Policy Failed - bios update
I've just updated the bios on Latitude 7389, which was an effort. I finally figured I had to update missed updates first.
All updates were recorded as successful, including the latest one. However, there was a message after the first update in each package along the lines:
ISH firmware policy failed error: 0x00000000
Can anyone tell me what this means and if it's something important?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Thanks. I did get a couple of messages but I couldn't read them so I didn't know to what they related. (Your messages were covered up by a reply box that I couldn't shift, just in case you can fix that glitch.)
I suppose that means there is a problem when you get that note. I have another issue with my computer as well, so I'll probably just get in touch with the Dell tech people via chat before the warranty runs out.
Thanks again.

I had the same problem. Upgrades bios from 8 to 9 to 11 to 13 to 17 to 20 ….
finally installed latest bios 29 and saw this error but computer rebooted fine?! In abundance of caution, . I downgraded bios to one version before 28 and no errors with that one.
