Hey,
I've followed the previous instructions, tried disabling the Intel AMT option under manageability. Also, I've reset to the bios settings to default.
But, it still did not help me. I still face the screen when my laptop restarts.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks.

Dell UPS laptop (undocked) -> Disabling Intel AMT in BIOS does NOT fix prompt for this issue

For what is worth…
It happened to us with OptiPlex 5070S FF, inside of this is Laptop’s motherboard I don’t know what model of Laptop is used in, we are business with thousands of Dell Desktops and Laptops; problem started few days ago after updating BIOS from V1.3.1 to V1.4.1., downgrading the BIOS to V 1.3.1 did not resolve the issue; I did not call in for Support; this article gave me an idea where the problem may be: http://www.dice.inf.ed.ac.uk/units/infrastructure/Documentation/consoles/consoleredirection.html
However our fix may not work for you, and the fix was these BIOS changes:
Good luck to all!

Is there any hope Dell will patch this problem in a future BIOS? It's a bit of a joke to tell people that they have to "touch" every single computer that was updated to turn this message off in the BIOS, especially when you have clients who are completely remote from you.
Walking a typical end user through turning off BIOS settings when you don't have the exact computer with the exact BIOS version in front of you is a very dangerous task.
I can't even imaging the amount of wasted time that would take for larger enterprises. If the system didn't display these messages prior to a BIOS update, and now they do, I'd say resolving it shouldn't be on the customer but on Dell.

In the event that the BIOS can be told to handicap the sequential redirection subsequent to booting

Getting same message on Optiplex 7070 (BIOS v. 1.4.4).
Do you know what it means?
Computer still boots to login screen after message flash disappears and then works normally.
Do you know if I can just leave it be?
Thanks.

Hi everyone, my 7400 is brand new. The old BIOS 1.6.1 has a better performance, i think. With the new one i had same issue-black screen, noisy fan and slower boot.

Latitude 5401, the same issue after bios update. Both in docked and undocked mode. Disabling AMT and PXE doesn't solve the issue.

Yes. And now I am loosing my mouse and keyboard. Logitech mouse and keyboard; mouse not there on start up but I can get it back by searching for logitech unifying in the search box. I don't have to re-pair. But this is a big nuisance. I get the same console message if I use the Dell doggle.

Same problem with a brand new (8.3.2020) Optiplex 7470. Machine was fine when it arrived; Dell updated; now the mapping screen and I keep loosing my mouse and keyboard. Dell promised to help me on August 4. Despite repeated emails and finally I called again, no higher level agent to help me. Very discouraged with Dell.

I've downgraded the BIOS to previous version and disabled Intel AMT and it behaves like before the BIOS update. I'm glad we switched OFF automatic BIOS update via software deployment center in our corporation... It'd be a horror if every user has this key mapping garbage...

Having this issue with the 1.9.1 BIOS update for Latitude 5400 PCs. Issue did not occur before the update was applied. The proposed solution does not solve the issue either.

I have the same issue with the 5401, tried both methods with no luck. Bios is up to date. Very annoying issue.

I have had the same issue with the Optiplex 5070 Models. We have had many have this same issue. The way I found to resolve this is as follows.
1) Update Bios to 1.4.4
2) Boot into Bios setup and turn off Intel AMT Capability (under Manageability).
3) Downgrade Bios from 1.4.4 to 1.3.1.
4) Finally Update back to 1.4.4.
So far every other solution did not resolve this, but for some reason at least for us this has resolved the issue in the 5070 SFF product.
