LAT 5510 cannot update the bios

I have an 5510 and I would like update the BIOS from 1.43 to 1.6. The Command Update cannot find the update, it says the system is up to date. My BIOS version is 1.43 currently.

I downloaded the bios manually from https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=02dxh&oscode=wt64a&productcode=latitude-15-5510-laptop I ran it as admin, it detected the current 1.43 and the target 1.6 bios version. It downloaded the firmware and it says waiting for reboot.

I reboot the system, but it does not update anything. The BIOS version is 1.43 right now.

What is the problem? Could anybody help me to update the bios?

Thanks is advance!

Using the instructions on the BIOS file don't run it from Windows. Copy the BIOS file to a USB drive and run the update from the BIOS. The file and instructions are here.

Hi! Thanks for the useful workaround! Meanwhile I found the problem. The process bar appears in front of the button bar. So, the Reboot button was hidden and I restarted it from the start menu.

The Dell Command update did not found this bios update, I dont know why.
