Latitude 7420 UCM-UCSI ACP code 43 (dead USB-c port) * again...

The left-hand USB-c port of my Latitude 7420 stopped working a few weeks after I bought it.

Issue was rapidly solved - it required 2 HW replacement (usb port module, whcihc didn't solve the issue, and then the MB).

Whole story here: https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/Latitude-7420-UCM-UCSI-ACP-code-43-dead-USB-c-port/m-p/8031032#M36055

Problem: the same issue appeared AGAIN 10 days later. Same port, dead. Other ports are fine. It doesn't charge, it's not recognize within BIOS or with an Ubuntu distribution. Tried several firmware changes (downgrades are possible, but limited) - no result.

Well, maybe it's my docking station or original charger that kills the port (I doubt, since the second port works fine).

But it's been a month since I've explained the issue to customer service. I've received several response, we've tried several things. But for 20 days now, no useful feedback.

It's been a month. No solution (what could it even be but a motherboard change?)

I was pleased with the first repair. But a whole month to get messages like "We have escalated the issue, we'll get back to you as soon as we can", sorry, no, doesn't work for me.

Following toic....

WE have deployed several of these in our enviornment as well, and most if not all are now starting to have the same issues, one port goes bad.  We haven't reached out to Dell yet, we are still trying to get thru with the 7490 that had this issue.  I don't understand why they can't get this issue fixed with these laptops.  We have no issues on the 7400 or 7410's but for some reason the old 7490 and 7420's the left port goes out after a few months or weeks.

I reallyh don't  have to start replacing those motherboards as well like we did with the 7490's what a headache.  wE did order the new docking stations that match these laptops hopefully they won't burn out the ports so quickly.
