Hi TarandeepSh,
The CPU is soldered onto the motherboard of the E7240 so it's not possible to upgrade the CPU without replacing the motherboard. The cost of replacing the motherboard is high, I think you would be better putting the money towards buying a newer system.

Just buy some used motherboard for e7240 with prefered cpu from ebay, nowadays it is cheap. Youtube tutorials will help you with procedure of replacement. Latitude systems are designed like the lego (that´s why I´m in love with them), diss/assembly process is fun :-). I recommend motherboard with i5-4310u, it doesn´t run so hot as i7-4600u and it is much cheaper. You can have it for 50 bucks.
