Lattitude 7390 Projection Settings
I am trying to connect my new Lattitude 7390 laptop to a larger monitor when computing at home. The monitor has a VGA cable, so I purchased a HDMI to VGA adapter. It seems to work okay and the laptop screen projects to the monitor when I plug it in. The problem is that I cannot project just to the Second Screen. The Fn + F8 keys bring up the options and I can click or tap on them, but nothing happens to change the projection.

Try holding the Windows key and pressing "P" for projection. That's the way this is typically done on more recent versions of Windows. Otherwise, you can manually go to Windows Display Settings, select your built-in display, and select "Disable/disconnect this display" so that only your external display is designated to be active.
