I have a dell latitude 5580 with Intel i5-6300U 2.4 Ghz processor (dual core), 4gb RAM (ddr4, SODIMM 2133 Mhz) and Intel graphics 620. I purchased 2 rams of 4gb Kingston HyperX (SODIMM, ddr4, 260 pins and 2400 Mhz). When I replaced the initial ram with new ram set my laptop did not work. Later, I noticed in the Dell manual that in my model the dual core cpus support only 2133 Mhz (despite mentioning 2400 Mhz!?).
Thereby, I am not entirely sure what to do in this case.
1) Do I have to do one more try to fit the new RAMs in my laptop or to return them and seek for another model
2) If I need to seek for another brand/model which should be the most compatible?
I'm having this exact problem with HyperX right now. My 16Gb (2x8Gb) kit doesn't exist as far as the BIOS is concerned. My current RAM, that came with the system (2x4Gb) is 2400Mhz, so I wonder now if it's some other specification of the HyperX that makes it incompatible...

Don't know.
Crucial sells DDR4-2400 for the Latitude 5580.
