Precision 7540 issue with Oracle VM virtual box with bios greater than 1.3.3

Sorry if this is in the wrong area but there doesn't seem to be one for Precision laptops.

I have a Precision 7540, running windows 10 and bios version 1.3.3.  On the laptop I use Oracle VM virtual box to run Win7 and Win10 virtual machines.

After updating the bios to version 1.5.1 Oracle VM virtual box can no longer successfully power on the Win10 virtual machine.  It will start to power on the virtual machine and then hang at the windows 10 splash screen - screenshot attached.
Due to the issue with the VM I tried rolling the bios back to v1.3.3 but had problems which resulted in the system board being replaced.

With the new system board in I once again tried updating to bios v1.5.1 - but once again had the same issue.  I also then tried updating the bios to v1.6.0 but the virtual machine still had the same problem.  The win7 virtual machines opened ok with both bios versions.

So once again I've reverted back to v1.3.3 as I need the win10 vm's to work.

I see that bios v1.7.0 has been released but i'm a little wary to update to this as it can only be rolled back to bios v1.5.1 - which would leave me with the issue.
