Are you seeing any combination of white and amber lights flashing?

There are total of 3 LEDs on the machine
Storage power and WIFI : Please provide complete status
As you didn't mention Storage LED : I am assuming it was solid white
This indicates a communication failure with RAM
Disconnect power cable and disconnect battery : Hold the power button down for 30 seconds
If no go
Please reseat RAM
If you have more then one module : please use one RAM at a time.

Lets test the LCD ( I doubt LCD has any issues)
Hold D + and press Power button
This should test LCD is the issue is visible there, LCD is gone.
If no issue than the problem is with OS
Crash the machine a couple of times while powering it (after Dell logo force shutdown)
after doing this 2-3 times it should give you advanced options and you can attempt startup repair, system restore.
If that too doesn't work, get ready for an operating system reinstall.
