Rogue mouse pointer

Question

We recently purchased a Dell Latitude 7357, and she is now having a problem with the mouse pointer. I have not witnessed it, so this is as she describes it. She says the mouse moves to the right side of the screen, but not to the edge. The pointer changes to something that she does not recognize. The pointer just sits in that location and jitters for a few seconds. It seems to happen every 5-10 seconds for several minutes. We have updated all drivers, and installed the Windows updates.

The model mentioned Latitude 7357 is incorrect kindly check on the model and download the drivers from support.dell.com.

You can follow the below steps

Please check only on Battery if the touchpad is erratic
Check if the touchpad becomes erratic if the ac adapter is connected
Check If AC Adapter is erratic on both AC Adapter and battery
Open touchpad properties and on the below windows click default and save and reboot the system.

Step 1- Reduce Sensitivity to min like below under touch pressure option, after that follow step 2

Step 2 – Disable Gestures like below by turning the Gestures option to off and check, the system needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
