Storage LED blinks, "possible processor failure has occurred." How to proceed?
I bought a used Dell Latitude E6530. The storage LED in the top left corner above the keyboard blinks on and off occasionally. The manual said this means, "possible processor failure has occurred."
It's an Intel i5, 4 GB ram. ("About" says it's 3.98 GB usable). I just did a "reset my PC", "Remove Everything". I have no added programs and only pulled up Task Manager and it says 2%CPU, 42% memory, 0% disk, % network.
The PC shows little signs of wear.
What is the most likely thing that's occurring with the PC? I could really use the PC. Is there anything I can do about this? Any way to trouble shoot what it is?
I'd love some thoughts on this. I need the laptop for work.
Thank you.

You could try reseating the CPU and reapplying thermal paste. The CPU is upgradeable so if that does not help you could always replace the CPU. That is assuming of course that the CPU is failing and they rarely fail but it is possible. Run diagnostics, F12 at boot, to verify the integrity of the system. If you have any errors then you have a starting point for diagnosis.

Thank you JOcean. I will give that a try. For context I paid $130 for it with shipping. It seems like-new (which I was already curious about as it's many years old). I wanted that model, it's a long story.
Do you think the laptop is worth keeping? And I will run the diagnostic. I don't know how to reseat the CPU and apply thermal paste. I'm guessing it would probably cost at least $150 at a tech store.
Best,

I ran the diagnostic and it said, "success. all tests pass." Any thoughts on that? And the likely hood of a CPU problem, or other problem?
Also, the storage LED stopped blinking when it was in F12 doing the diagnostic, if that helps.
I appreciate the help.
