I read that the Intel network 7260 is compatible with the Latitude E6540. Is it compatible with the Latitude E6530?

Yes AC is always the way to go especially now that the cost difference compared to the N version is minimal, and yes that version of the 7260 will work in your system.

First, there are several variants of the Intel 7260. There's the Wireless-N 7260 that only supports 802.11n, which you should avoid, and then the Wireless-AC 7260 that supports 802.11ac. There's also the 7260HMW, which is the mPCIe version of the card, and the 7260NGW, which is the M.2 version of the card. The E6530 and E6540 use mPCIe slots for the WLAN card, so if you got the 7260HMW, it will work, but do NOT get the 7260NGW. I would also obviously recommend getting a Wireless-AC 7260 rather than a Wireless-N 7260.

I was looking at the Wireless-AC 7260. From what I've read 802.11AC is the way to go. I found this one on amazon.
