BIOS version A03 released: is it good also for XPS13 Developer Edition?
Yesterday a new version (A03) of the BIOS for Dell XPS 9333 was released. The description of the download is the following:
"This package provides the BIOS for Dell XPS 9333 system running the following Windows operating systems: Windows 7 32/64 bit & Windows 8.1"
Is the new BIOS compatible with the developer edition with Ubuntu preinstalled?
Thank you for your help!

Hi BAXEICO,
It is! I just flashed my BIOS to A03 on my XPS 13 9333 Dev Edition. So there shouldn´t be any problem with updating your BIOS to A03.
Though, it is a bit confusing that there isn´t any update notes to be found so I have no clue what this BIOS update is improving. Maybe some DELL people could give us hints why there was an update released?!
Greetings!

Thank you! Can you please tell me how you flashed the BIOS? I mean how to launch the Windows executable needed to upgrade the BIOS.
Thank you very much!

You can create a bootable USB stick with FreeDos:
Just download
Unetbootin (either Windows or Linux):http://tuxtweaks.com/2009/09/create-a-bootable-freedos-usb-drive-on-linux-with-unetbootin/
Then choose Freedos (be sure to have internet access since Unetbootin is downloading the FreeDos iso on the fly). Copy the BIOS update file to the stick´s root and boot from it. When booted to FreeDos change the path to "C:" and execute the BIOS update.
