Firmware update for WD-15 Thunderbolt dock on Linux
I have seen that there's an old post asking this same question, however it is incorrectly marked as solved, when it was clearly not even close to being resolved!
Rather than resurrect an ancient thread, let's ask this afresh, with 2019 just a week or so away.
How do we update the firmware on a Dell WD-15 thunderbolt dock from Linux?

I updated my WD19TB with the following terminal commands. It might be the same for WD15
sudo fwupdmgr refresh
sudo fwupdmgr update

Sadly, the WD15 does not get updated by fwupdmgr. One reason why the WD19 is a great improvement upon the WD15.
