XPS 13 9360 - Swap Fn and Ctrl keys?
Hi Forum,
New XPS 13 owner here a little frustrated by the keyboard.
I can't find any way in the BIOS to swap Fn and Ctrl keys. I can't seem to do it in Linux either, because the Fn key appears to be invisible to the OS. For example, if I run xev and press the Fn key, nothing happens.
The reason I want to do this is that I keep hitting Fn-C instead of Ctrl-C. The left Ctrl and C keys are further apart on the XPS 13 keyboard than they are on a desktop keyboard!
Do any of you guys have any suggestions?

I dont think Dell will open-source the BIOS. It probably contains code that is under Copyright from outside Dell and they will not be able to do that.
We, developers, don't need an open-source BIOS. What we need is complete UEFI specs so we can grab the CoreBoot sources and adapt it so it works on XPS models.
Alas, the quality of the XPS under Linux has become so abysmal my main laptop is now from another brand and if I write any code related to UEFI it will not be for a Dell or XPS.
CoreBoot is the way to go Dell. We want, as customers :
1. CoreBoot instead of the Dell BIOS with EVERYTHING supported and working
2. Deep Sleep enabled with a laptop that goes to sleep. All day. Barely lose more than a few battery % and wakes up properly
There are now some very serious offers for laptops with Linux working fine (System76, Lenovo X1 Carbon with Ubuntu or Fedora pre-loaded) so why cant dell offer us a XPS Developer Model that works fine, with deep sleep working and a CoreBoot BIOS ?
