XPS 13 developer edition (2016) & disabled repositories
I've just got my XPS 13 and realized that both Ubuntu repositories (main and universe) are disabled by default.
Any ideas why? May I safely enable both of them?

This is an implementation detail of how our factory image has repositories configured on first boot. Run updates a couple times (through the GUI or through "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade" a few times) and the repositories will get configured correctly.
