Dell mini 9 cannot load Ubuntu 8.04
I just purchased this mini laptop and cannot load Ubuntu. The error I receive is "Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the x server output to diagnose the problem?" When I answer yes it gives me more errors. How do I get the OS to load.
I do not know anything about Linux OS, have always been a windows user but like the Ubuntu OS.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you got a recovery DVD with your computer, try installing that. Make sure to backup your data to a thumb drive or SD card before you wipe your hard drive though. If you didn't order a USB DVD drive with your computer, you'll need to borrow one from a friend.
