How to Boot E4200 Linux shell without Outlook

I want to use the "Instant ON" button on my E4200 (blue) to boot to Linux shell and run a web browser.  Basically, the feature only allows you to access an Outlook database, but my company uses Lotus Notes, so I am hauling around this extra hardware with cosmic potential, only to have it wasted.  How do I set this machine up to boot the Instant ON to the Linux shell and bypass the Dell application? This is already a sexy laptop, but what would really complete the awesomeness would be a dual boot machine with a linux shell that lasted for days.

I think you are right.  There is a registry direction at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\InstantOn" that points to the source for the linux boot.  So now I think I need to get it redirected.

The only way to do this is to do a registry edit, setting the instant on,to start in Linux.

You will have to goolge how to do this with Linux.

EDIT:Basically all you do is search thru your registry to the Instant On key,and then you will have to find out how to edit it to set it to open Linux.
