Installing ubuntu on xps 8940 using usb drive

Question

I am trying to install ubuntu on my new xps 8940.  After I followed some blog to turn on/off some settings ( turn off secure boot, change RAID to AHCI, etc), finally when I select ubuntu to boot, it shows a blank screen. There is nothing wrong with my usb as it works in other laptop to boot ubuntu.  I can't figure out why I am not able to install ubuntu

I met the same problem with Ubuntu 20.04. It can boot after 'Multi-Display' is disabled in the BIOS video settings.

coldfire913,   Unfortunately, your system shipped with Windows 10 and not Ubuntu.  I would suggest reaching out to the Ubuntu community or try going to https://dell.to/3a7yUBc Forums

Unfortunately Dell seem to have specifically designed this machine to make it near-impossible to install a new operating system.
