Optiplex 990 won't boot w/ Hardware Raid Controller
I've got a Dell Optiplex 990 with two hard drives (1TB a piece) installed and I am unable to get any Linux Live CD to boot properly if a raid configuration is active on either of these two cards:
3ware 9650SE-2LP (RAID 1)
Areca ARC-1200 (RAID 1)
If I remove any raid configuration from the two cards above, the system will boot any live cd I throw at it. All I'm trying to do is get a copy of Citrix XenServer installed onto the system with the hard drives configured as RAID 1. XenServer requires a hardware raid controller, so the Intel Rapid Storage Raid controller (softraid/fakeraid) is not compatible.
Has anyone successfully gotten a hardware based raid card installed into a Optiplex 990 and successfully booted any linux live cd?

Alright, just saw that they have a A03 bios update so I flashed the machine to the latest. Still doesn't work.
Even the Bootable USB drive I used to flash the BIOS will not boot if there's a Raid configured on the card. There's definitely some serious hardware conflict going on and I'm beginning to give up hope...
