Suse Linux - Suspend on Inspiron 4150

I've installed Suse Linux Professional on an Inspiron 4150 but am having a heck of a time having the machine restore from suspend mode. In fact I have to shut down the machine and reboot. What am I missing or need to look for?

Thanks.

The following key sequence works everytime on my Inspiron 4150 running Redhat 9.  I get the garbled screen anytime I close the lid (without suspending).

1.  Cntr-Alt-F1  (show console)
2.  Fn-d  (turn off screen)
3.  Fn-F3  (show battery info)
4.  Esc  (exit battery info)
5.  Alt-F7  (show X window)

Dennis,

Since my earlier message I've upgraded to Fedora Core 1 and have had no problems with any of the power saving features on the 4150. It works just as good as Windows.
