Switching between wired and wireless connection (E1505N)

I was using my wired network connection on my E1505N laptop and I went to hibernate mode. When my laptop is on again, I'm in a different location with a wireless network but no wired network. However, Ubuntu is still stuck in the wired network and I couldn't figure out how to switch to the wireless network. Right-clicking on the networking icon doesn't give me the option to enable wireless networking. I tried restarting my laptop, turning it off and on again, etc, but it's not working! Help!

On my E1505N the wireless module likes to go funky with hibernate or shutdown.

Open up a terminal (Applications>>Accessories>>Terminal if you don't know) and type in:

sudo modprobe -r ipw3945 (hit enter)
(type in your password, enter)
sudo modprobe ipw3945 (hit enter)

That should reload the wireless module.

Thanks, but it didn't work. I called Dell Support. They were able to resolve the issue. It turns out wireless got turned off when it went to hibernation mode. I had to press the Fn+F2 keys for wireless to be up and running again.
