XPS 710 + Ubunti Gutsy nVidia MCP55 Audio Line In not working.
I have everything on my XPS 710 working fine under 64 bit Ubuntu Gutsy with the sole exception of the Audio Line In on the nVidia MCP55 High Definition Audio. All the Audio Out channels seem to work fine, only the Audio Line In is not functional.
I have updated the XPS 710 System ID: 0x0207 to the latest BIOS Version: 1.4.1

I have gone through all the various Wiki and How To documents on the snd_hda_intel module and I am pretty much down to the point where I now suspect to get the Audio In working probably requires a specific snd_hda_intel module option mask=n where "n" is some number ( 1, 8, or something else ).
I have no idea what these mask options do in the snd_hda_intel module or potentially to the MCP55/STAC9227 and I am now in way over my head at this point.
Can I get a clue on what to try next please.
