XPS13 Ubuntu Recuperation

Hi:

Some days ago I finally was able to upgrade from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS. But during the installation a message that something was wrong appeared. I clicked OK but nothing happened. The installation was stopped. The computer didn't response to anything so I had to turn it off by long pressing the power button. As I feared, the system was destroyed.

I looked for a way to reinstall system in Dell.com and they recommend me the Recovery tool with the original Ubuntu 16.04 LTS system. I did it and all went right. Now I have the original 16-04 system. But whe the system ask me to upgrade to 18.04, nothing happens. I tried by the terminal console but it answers me that the system is old and has not support.

I try to change configuration to allow not only LTS actualizations or removing the -d in do-release-upgrade but it asks me to install all available updates. Which I think I already did.

Could you please help me?

To eliminate network interface card/chip/model related problems I'd make a DVD with the Ubuntu version you want and install that way.

Thanks. But is it possible to install a 20.04 LTS or 22.04 LTS from scratch in a XPS13. I mean with all drivers.
