Hello, which Fedora did you install? I am running Fedora 9 in my Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505 and having no problem with ethernet. Is your ethernet interface up? What do you see in the output of ifconfig?

drivers aren't distro dependent, rather kernel dependent

each distro may bundle and release a specific package, but the ultimate goal can be achieved without a Fedora-specific RPM

However, without knowing what the NIC is, you cant do much ... so for starters, can you post the output of

# /sbin/lspci | grep -i eth

Hello kris_1505, can you tell me what NIC you have? If you are using Fedora 9, it is likely that the necessary driver is already installed.

Hello PhillyFloyd, it is the most interesting post I have ever seen in any forum. I must admit that I did not fully understand what you meant. Did you mean that the OP and I are the same person? If that is the case you are very wrong. If I misunderstood then I am sorry.
