problems with Mandriva (Mandrake) 10.1 DVD version in a Dimension 9100
I have a Dimension 9100.. ( Pentium 4 HT with 3.2GHz and 2MB )
i have tried to install mandriva Linux 10.1, but in the installation mandriva ask me about the driver for the CD ROM unit, and then the driver for the Network....
both are suppossed to be a ".ko" file, but which one from the big list is it?

I am a little confused, how far into installation do you get? Mandriva should be able to detect the cd-rom driver from the beginning. What type of CD-Rom Drive do you have? Could you post some of the entries from the list?
Secondly the network what? Are you trying to install this on a network computer? Or is it talking about the eth0/eth1 cards? I wouldn't think you would have to worry about the network until installation was complete.

Folks,
I am trying to install Mandrake 2006 free version to my dimension 9100.
Install works fine, i can't get X to work and get the command line interface. What do I have to change in the config file?
Thanks.
