On my NSLU2, I logged into the webpage (192.168.X.XXX) and set the users and access levels to control who has access to "public" (Disks) and "private" (admin) areas of the 2 disk drives (Maxtor One Touch 250GB/300GB). The IP address can be set static (non-changing) there also.
