1707FPVt, dying?

Have a 1707FPVt for about 8 years and up to now has worked well. In the last week the following are the symptoms:

- every time I started up the PC the monitor power button would blink for a period of time with a blank/black screen then would come on and be fine for the rest of the session.

- the time between turning on the PC and the monitor coming back is getting longer each day. At first it was less than a minute and today it's been over half an hour and still not back.

- looked at the manual and tried the input switch and the reset button procedure mentioned in one of the support posts - all with no effect.

- changed the DVI input to VGA and still no change.

- anyone know anything I can try to get it back?

- otherwise looks like a new monitor. And I liked this one: full vertical and tilt adjust and good pic.

Help appreciated

Based on your troubleshooting, sounds faulty. it is not worth it to spend money getting it repaired locally.

Should have added that even with no inputs (DVI/VGA) connected the same thing: blinking and no response.

It's what I thought. Have ordered another one. Thanks
