1800FP Digital Cannot use a Refresh Rate higher than 60Hz

At its default resolution, 1280x1024, no matter WHAT I do, the refresh rate NEVER goes above 60Hz. I've tried setting the refresh rate @75Hz in the control panel, used ReForce, NOTHING works. I know it's @ 60Hz and not 75 because of the button on the monitor allows me to view my monitor information.

I do not think this occured when I had used my analog cable. Is this an inherent monitor problem or is it just my system?

It is working according to the specifications published by Dell (75 Hz is available in analog mode ONLY)

The 2001FP is the same way. Don't sweat it LCD and CRT refresh differently. 60Hz on an LCD panel does not mean flicker and slow performance like on a CRT.

Your monitor is working fine, 60Hz is actually the correct setting.

On a CRT, you want the highest refresh rate possible because the electronic gun "paints" the screen at a given refresh rate, and a higher rate has the effect of less flicker, but on an LCD, the whole screen is "drawn" by setting the individual pixels due to current applied to the LCD's pixel transistors, and the speed that this can be done is determined by its "response rate", any pixel that changes is freshed as fast as the LCD panels and its GPU allows. Thus the actual refresh rate stated is irrelevant if you are connecting the display through DVI.

Through the analog connection, you should have been using the 60Hz setting too as that was the optimal setting instead of 75Hz.
