2001FP/1200x1600

I have a 2001FP enroute to me today. I just checked my setting on my computer (Sony RG-16Z w/Gigapockets)(desktop settings)for screen sizes. I do not have 1200x1600 shown as a size I can use. When I hook the 2001FP to my computer does it change these sizes in the settings tab? I know, I'm doing a bad job at asking the question.

What video card do you have installed on your system ?  When you get the monitor, you will have to go into Display Properties to change the resolution for that monitor, which is 1600X1200.  Anything else will not give you a good picture at all.  Some video cards, not all, cannot display over a few resolution settings.  Don't know which video card you have, so get back to us on that one.   LCD's have a native resolution that much be used.  CRT monitors are different and can have a number of usable viewing resolutions.  Also, you should set the refrest rate to 60 Hz as well.  Also, turn on the Clear Type to give you clearer fonts.

List your computer spec's as I have done below to give us more information to work with.

Dim 4400  2.6 ghz (upgrade from 1.7 ghz)

Gainward Ti 4200 128 MB Nvidia

17 inch Dell LCD monitor (1703 FP)
48 X CDRW
AVG 7.0 Anti Virus ( Free Version )
Zone Alarm 5.5 version ( Free Edition )
