Steve,

Thanks for your reply.  I'm not sure that is the problem.  I had been using the monitor for about a year using DVI-D and then one morning I bootup and bingo no signal.  I tried changing the setting on the front of the monitor to be sure it was on DVI.

Using analog it is working just fine.  Confuses me???

Any other thoughts?

Check the video card configuration through Display Properties.  Be sure that DVI out is not disabled somehow.  Otherwise, if you cannot get the monitor to use the DVI input signal, then the DVI cable is bad, or the DVI input port on the monitor is bad or the DVI output from the video card is bad.  If the system is still under warranty, contact the Dell Techies for assitance and to arrange for a replacement display or video card.

this is a common problem; DVI and dell's lcd's.  We're trying to find fixes and trying to get help from dell.
