2005fpw height adjustment stuck!

Hey guys, I just got my 2005fpw yesterday. It is near perfect! No blacklight problem, no dead pixels, and I don't think there is any ghosting at all! Well, if there is, I sure don't notice it. But anyway. I got my monitor yesterday and i installed it. I put the monitor on the stand and then pushed it down to the lowest position. Now it is locked at the lowest position. I tried pushing the button on the back of the stand with all of my might, but it will just not move at all! The button doesn't depress at all! I called Dell for help, and they were clueless. The guy tried to tell me that the 2005fpw didn't have a height adjustment stand. THen he finally saw it in the manual. So i asked for a new stand, but they said they would have to send me a whole new monitor! I don't want a new monitor, I just want a stand!!!! Especially since this monitor is near perfect. Also if you're wondering, it is an A01 from Mexico.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the height problem PLEASE help me! I do not want to have to send the whole monitor in just because of a stupid stand! Please help me guys! Thanks!

Hey guys, I figured it out!!! It was in the lock position like i thought. But to get it out of the lock position, you have to push down on the monitor/stand and then push the button. The the button will go in and you can move the monitor up and down. I do not believe they ever mentioned this in the manual. They do mention about the lock position however, but just not to get it out of the lock. lol Sorry if you all knew this. But oh well! Have a good one!

I will do that.  Thanks for the info.  I also heard from one guy that had leakage, that he took a paper towel and slowly and gently massaged the corners and pushed from the corners inward on the display.  He said that this helped a lot and basically fixed his whole leakage problem.  It's something to try out if you have that sort of problem.  Just be careful not to apply too much pressure.
