2007FP, Windows 7, no driver?

we have many many 2007FP but we cannot get the correct resolutions for the monitor. 1280x1024 is and below is the only option. From what I see we have no choice but to replace the monitor. Is Dell purposely not putting out the driver to force the purchase of new monitors? Well this is backfiring, if we have to replace the monitors they will not be dell! Then we can decide about not using dell for everything else. so the question is, How do i get the real resolution?

I would not call this, "forced obsolescence". That model is 9 years old. When they came out in March of 2006, we did offer a driver for the operating systems shipping at that time, Windows XP/2000.

interesting because I was able to find the driver for the monitor i have at home that is older but it is not a dell

beside this  Windows Vista was released on November 30, 2006

From what you said the monitor was obsolete the year after it was released

On July 22, 2009, Windows 7 was released

Once again it was only 3 years later and the monitor was already obsoleted

its really no problem we will replace them with ViewSonic or samsung

The replacements for the PCs and laptops are going to asus or lenovo

Please forward this to your sales staff

Its only 100 or so machines and peripherals so it is really not much of anything

Hopefully we will get the funding for the other 300 late next year

have a great day
