2007WFP + Thinkpad T40 DVI Resolution Problem

I have a IBM Thinkpad T40 with an ATI Raedon Mobility 7500 with the latest Driver.

1680x1050 over VGA works perfectly. So I tried using the DVI on my dock. I Got a picture, but the resolution is odd. At 1680x1050 the screen like scrolls as if it is too big for the monitor. I tried all differnt resolutions, and cant figure out what is causing this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is most likely an issue with the DVI port on the Thinkpad dock. Docks and port replicators for Thinkpads are notorious for not support DVI resolutions above 1280x1024.

I recently tried a brand new 2007wfp on a Thinkpad T43 port replicator and had the same results as you. VGA looks fine at the native resolution of the display, but DVI just won't go that high.
