2007WFP, display reset?
My screen keeps flickering on and off, switching between PIP mode and PBP. I am unable to pull up the menu to do a 'factory reset'. When I unplug my display via DVI, the display keeps cycling through inputs. Is there any way to do a manual hard reset for the display? The display buttons don't seem to be working at all.

ahelix,
* Turn off the monitor and computer
* Disconnect all monitor cabling from the computer (VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, USB, etc.)
* Disconnect the monitor power cord from the rear of the monitor
* Press and hold the monitor power button in for 8 seconds
* Reconnect the monitor power cord to the rear of the monitor
* Reconnect a VGA cable to the monitor, then to your video card
* Power the monitor on, then the computer
Are you now able to get to the Windows desktop without the flickering on and off, switching between PIP mode and PBP?

Agreed. Some internal component is defective. Replace it.

Hi ahelix,
Request you to try resetting the monitor by going into the “MENU SETTINGS” option. You may use the below link and refer the manual for the monitor for more information on the same:

However, if this doesn’t work do send me the monitor order number along with the copy of purchase invoice via private message. I will check and see what can be done.

I am unable to navigate to the 'menu settings' to reset the monitor because it doesn't respond no matter what buttons I press.

Unfortunately I followed all of those steps and now my monitor won't even turn on. Seems like a hardware issue that can't be fixed.

Do you know how to get that done out of warranty? Might just be cheaper to buy a new monitor.

Dell does not sell monitor parts. You will need to search the web.
