2407 buttons don't work

I believe my Dell Monitor buttons are locked. None of the buttons are working including the power button which is on. I've tried unplugging and plugging to no avail. I did see a lock on my screen. Any suggestions. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 gb.

Did the lock just appear? What was your usage prior to it appearing? 2407WFP User's Guide pages 39-40 , Menu Lock =

I don't know what you mean when you say "What was your usage prior to it appearing. I can't even get the buttons to respond. At one point I did see a lock and unlock icon that disappeared. Presently I'm just trying to get my buttons working again.

You can try a hard reset. If that does not correct it, time to replace it =

* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect the monitor power cable and all other cables from the rear/bottom/side of the monitor
* If a mechanical monitor power button, press the button in for 30 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits). If not a mechanical power button, just wait for 30 seconds
* Reconnect all cabling and retest
