3007WFP-HC sync polarity

according to the specs on this page

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>

this monitor has a -/+ sync polarity at 2560x1600. i have two other 30" LCDs that have a +/- sync polarity and need them all to be the same. if i create a custom resolution for the 3007 with a +/- sync polarity could that potentiallty permanently damage the monitor?

fadetoblack,

From engineering -
The polarities are listed for the graphics adapter. With these polarities along with H and V frequencies, it knows exactly which resolution to produce and the display should work perfectly for that resolution. Toggling the polarity to opposite polarity will change the resolution/ timings and may not produce the perfect picture. No harm will be done to the display but I would strongly advise to use correct polarity.
