3008WFP, Burn In mode is on, no video input

Question

Hello,

I was given a Dell 3008 WFP monitor that is cycling through color with and without an input. The guy I got it from said that it was stuck in diagnostics mode. I pressed the input select button and the color went away to black, but pressed it a few more times and it came back. Wondering if this is a hardware malfunction.

If using these instructions does not allow you to enter the FSM (Factory Service Menu) to turn Burn In off, then it is faulty.

6 horizontal buttons (Input Source, PBP, Menu, Minus, Plus, Power)
* Turn the monitor off
* Press the buttons simultaneously Menu/Plus/Power
* Release all three buttons
* Press the Minus button
-or-
* Press the buttons simultaneously Minus/Plus/Power
* Release all three buttons
* Press the Menu button
* Scroll down to Burn-in and set it Off or Disabled
** Do not change anything else
* Then go to Exit
