AE515M USB Soundbar, users hear click when muting

When I'm using the AE515M USB Soundbar as a speakerphone (e.g. Teams, Skype calls), other participants on the call say that they can hear a clicking noise when I click on the mute button on the speaker bar. This occurs if I'm muting or unmuting a call.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is my unit defective?

I'm guessing it is a design flaw. The mute button definitely has a click to it when you press it, and that is likely picked up by the two mics that are right next to the button.

A bit of a shame because the mute button allows me to be in stealth mode, but only if people don't hear me using it.

Instead of using the button, why not mute the AE515M USB Soundbar via the Windows taskbar Speakers icon?

@DELL-CaresSorry, but how do you mute the microphone via the Windows speaker icon? Even if I can do that, I would still prefer to use the huge button that sits in the middle of the speaker bar without everyone on my call knowing that I've pressed it.

So I'd still like to know if my unit is defective, or is this a design flaw?
