ATI Radeon x300 se dual monitor support
I just ordered an 8400 with the ATI Radeon X300 SE. It claims it supports dual monitors. I currently have a VGA monitor and ordered a LCD flat panel display with the new computer. Is it going to be possible to connect both monitors to the ATI Radeon at the same time?
Before Dell dropped the 8300's, the order page showed a cable with a connecter to connect to the video card and had two cables coming from that plug. I'm assuming one was a DVI connector and the other was a VGA connector. I haven't been able to find this with the 8400 order page, or in their accessories pages.
Am I going to have to order such a beast from Dell or can I find one at a CompUSA or Best Buy?
Thanks,
Dave

So you were able to tell from the Connect3D site that it has 3 connectors on the back of the card?
I'm surprised that there are no pictures of the card yet. Surely the card is in production now.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the thing has on the back. Hopefully, it will have 3 connectors (DVI, VGA and TV-out).
Thanks,
Dave

That connect 3d x300se card has DVI and VGA one of each, plus s-video. If the LCD has DVI, you will not need any more adapters. If the LCD is a basic VGA only, you will need a DVI to vga adapter, available at compusa, etc.
