AW2518H, Pixel-walking

Hello,

I just purchased the AW2518H G-Sync monitor and I am experiencing all the edges in a fast motion game to flicker and some to turn out green when I am playing. I have found out what causes this and it is the Response time option in the menu of the monitor. If set to "Normal" everything is good. If set to "Super Fast" or even "Fast", this problem occurs. What I am wondering is, if set to "Normal", is the response time of the monitor 1ms? And what can we do to fix this problem? I have hard reset the monitor and followed all the guidelines I could find.

Best Regards,
Mathias Braa

We need more information.

1ms is Normal response time at 240 Hz. Back the Hz down by degrees one at a time (200/144/100/60) and retest the game using Fast and Super Fast.

* On what computer model, operating system, video card and cabling is the AW2518H connected?
* Does that video card have multiple out ports to test on the AW2518H DP in and HDMI in?
* Have you replicated the issue using a different computer?

On normal settings the tearing is removed and game looks fine. but i can still see abit "blure" while moving in fast paced games and details bluring up in the distance. i have tried different displayports cables and outports on my GTX 1080ti so i am clueless if it should be like this or if it something wrong with the monitor. i am using windows 10 and updated my gpu drivers.

Thanks for fast reply,
Mathias

i Just tried with my streaming computer and the game still looks slightly blurred this is tested on a windows 10, with EVGA 980 GTX GPU.  Monitor looks fine while looking at "still" pictures but not on fast motion.

Is the issue seen on BOTH systems in ALL games or just that one game? If it is just that one game, go to the game manufacturer Forum and post the issue there. See what they say.
