AW3418DW, PC HDMI out, cabling issues
Hi everyone,
Thank you in advance for your support. :)
I bought a Club 3D DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0b HDR 4K 60Hz cable because my work laptop does not have a DisplayPort option. Now I cannot get the picture out using this cable - is DisplayPort to HDMI cable not supported/am I using wrong settings? Any experiences? I assume i cannot get out more than 60Hz using this solution (if it even works).
Cheers!

For my Dell internal notes, click my name and private message me the monitor service tag number.
A PC HDMI out port cannot upconvert to a monitor DP/mDP in port via a straight cable and/or adapter. What you bought is designed to do the opposite =
PC DP out port --> Club 3D DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0b --> Monitor HDMI in port
Going from PC HDMI out port, the maximum you can do at 4K is 30Hz. At 60Hz, not sure what resolutions you will get.
PC HDMI out --> HDMI to DP adapter --> AW3418DW DP to DP cable --> AW3418DW DP in

Hey Chris,
Many thanks for your swift response. I.e. my solution will not work because the monitor has a HDMI slot, not a DP slot. Is this correct?
Cheers,
