AW3418DW, flickering on Windows desktop

My AW3418DW sometimes flicker to black for a second while on idle in Windows desktop without me using it. Sometimes, but not often, it does it when I touch the mouse after awhile on idle. If I'm using it with games and apps I don't get that flickering. I did a factory reset, updated the Dell driver and Nvidia driver, bought a new DP cable but it didn't help. Can anybody help?

GeForce GTX 1060

Thank you for your quick response.

I'm on 120hz and I put the the response time on Fast an didn't have any flickering. Yet.

As I said before, I changed the response time to Fast (while on 120hz) and it stopped randomly flickering. But now sometimes when the monitor is idle and I come and touch the mouse it flickers.

I want to clarify, is seems that some owners of this screen have a flickering issue. I saw some of their videos where the screen flicker very fast, like a millisecond. Mine is not the same case, my screen turns to complete black for a second and then come back to desktop.

Yes I tried, it was the same.

Also, when the monitor wake up from sleep it "flicker" or goes off and on. It's the same with every settings you mentioned. Is there a way to fix it or does it suppose to be this way? or the GSYNC module is bad?

I do not think that the monitor is defective. But you can get an exchange. Test the replacement before sending any monitor back to Dell.
* If the replacement monitor does not have the issue, send back to Dell the original monitor
* If BOTH monitors have the same issue, it is highly unlikely that both monitors are defective. Look to the devices, video card, drivers, cabling, etc. Send back to Dell the replacement monitor

Further investigating the situation is like this:
I wait until the monitor goes to sleep. I move the mouse - it turn on. If I click on the mouse it goes to black and back to desktop. If I move and dont click it doesn't flicker.
When I disable GSYNC I dont get that flicker.
Is it the GSYNC module fault or the software/driver?
