Banding isssue - 2007WFP
Hi, I received my new monitor, with A02 firmware. Threre is no banding issue at 1680x1050 with Destop mode, nor vertical, nor horizontal, DVI connection, but at other resolutions it's very noticiable. I've played Counter Strike Source at 1280x800 (16:10 ratio) and the banding is there. If I set the desktop to 1280x800, the test at
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_monitor&message.id=58830#M58830
shows the banding issue. Anyone has noticed this?

About seeing it in lower resolutions, I don't know what to tell you. This means that any game you play, or movie you watch, that the resolution isn't 1680x1050, you will have banding with that monitor. It's up to you whether or not it's worth keeping.

-Guild Wars Prophecies/Factions @1680x1050 (no banding)
-SiN: Emergence @1680x1050 (no banding)
-Half Life 2 @1680x1050 (no banding)
-F.E.A.R. @ 1280x800 (no banding)
-Tomb Raider Legend @1680x1050 (no banding)
-Battle For Middle Earth II @ 1152x864 (no banding)
While tweaking settings I also played around with a lot of 1440x900 and saw no obvious banding. I'm pretty picky about this stuff and my A00 was pretty much unbearable to play games on, but my A02 looks near perfect.

Just another question, which timings do you use at 1280x800 and 1440x900? I have a 7900GT.
Thank you
