Configuring 2405FPW

Question

I just had the motherboard on my Dell Dimension XPS replaced.  Now all of the icons on my 2405FPW Monitor are very tiny, everything on aol is tiny and when I play a DVD, the fullscreen DVDs are blacked out on both sides of the movie when it used to fill the entire screen.  I tried going into 'Control Panel, Appearance and Themes, Display, Display Properties, and Settings' to make sure the screen resolution was set to 1920 x 1200.  Can anyone help me configure it? Thank you...

For the text size do the following if you have not already:  1.  Right click on the desktop, click on properties, settings, advanced and make sure large font is selected under DPI settings. 2. Right click on the desktop, select properties, appearance and under font size select either large or extra large.   For the DVD display issue, if you are playing DVDs through the media center, make sure that the display format states 16:10.   Good luck and let me know if it was successful.   savjam

Hi.  Thank you for answering my inquiry.  I changed the font size, but the pictures and games like Freecell are still very small.  The mailbox screen on AOL is still very small as well as the icons along the top.  Previously, everything got bigger when I initially installed the new monitor.   (I also ran the disk that came with the monitor, but it just directed me to the properties screen as well.)  But thanks for trying..... D.

On the monitor, load the menu bar and under display settings --> widemode, select fill.  I am out of ideas after this one.   Good luck   savjam
