I am facing similar issue with my D3218HN. It started happening all of a sudden. Were you able to resolve your issue? If yes, can you please share how.
biruviannation D3218HN purchased warranty had expired prior to them posting. We never found any Dell documentation on entering the D3218HN FSM (Factory Service Menu) to turn BurnIn mode off. Perhaps other D3218HN owners will post.
I was experimenting with various combination of buttons and I think I figured out how to get into Service Menu.
1. Turn off monitor by pressing power button
2. Press and hold UP ARROW + Number 2 button
3. While holding both buttons, power on monitor (press and release just the power on button)
4. Hold the 2 buttons for few more seconds and release both buttons.
5. Service Menu shows up.
I don't see an option to upload pic, but I don't think it has an option to turn off BurnIn. Also I don't think this model has inbuilt self diagnostics tool or I don't know how to trigger it.
